Venus Retrograde

I am not an astrologer, but here is a message from me and a friendly reminder whenever Venus is on retrograde:

Stop and be still. Don’t be hasty in making decisions regarding love and beauty, because you might regret it. I know that it is true since I made that mistake a few years ago. I knew that it was Venus retrograde and yet I made a hasty love decision – I regretted it right after Venus went direct. I’ve never felt so stupid in my life.

Take out your rose-colored glasses. Take out your veil of deception. See beyond the illusions presented to you. Look beyond the materialist and deceptive side of beauty and relationships. Take advantage of this transit and let go of your ego and filters. See things for what they really are, warts and all. You might discover that some things you thought were “ugly” are actually very beautiful, and some things you once thought were very beautiful are actually toxic and needed to be let go. It is time you listen more to your heart and hear the truth. 

That little beauty alteration you might want to give to yourself? Put that on hold and wait for the transit to be over. Meanwhile, look at yourself in the mirror. Do you like what you see? Are you already beautiful? Do you really need a physical change or is it an attitude change that you really need? Close your eyes and feel yourself. Do you value yourself enough? Or do you always settle for less? Do you have enough self-esteem and self-respect to put your own needs before theirs?

If you are single, right now is not the best time to rush into a relationship. Take time to deeply get to know the person. Do not be allured by their smile and sweetness. Test your compatibility. Or better yet, look inside of yourself and work on your self-esteem. Ponder on what makes you lovable and irresistible. Treat yourself like a god or goddess. Then pray to the universe to give you your soulmate, your happily ever after – at the right time, on God’s own divine timing.

For people in a relationship, listen if your heart says if this person is the right one for you. Throw your ego out of the window and listen to the truth of your heart. If you are with the wrong person, its up to you to let go. And if you are with the right person, overcome the obstacles that Venus retrograde might throw into your relationship and cherish this person forever. 

When Venus is in retrograde, it is best to let your heart take over, but not too much. You need to balance out your heart chakra energy. Give love, but do not give too much of yourself. Treat yourself, but it is best not to overindulge. And while this is not the best time to take actions regarding beauty, I personally think that it is the best time to go inward and delve deep into the concept of beauty – like reading beauty books, learning makeup, learning fashion, learning about the spiritual side of beauty, etc.

And always remember: You are beautiful.
